FN631 Food Security

An in-depth exploration of causes and policy issues related to food security in the United States and in developing countries. Consideration of the global food system, food aid, and the rolesof USAID, the World Bank, and voluntary agencies in meeting the nutritional needs of the world’s low-income, food deficit countries will be given. The U.S. government food-related programs will be investigated and critical analysis of these food assistance programs will be presented.
