Requirements for Track in Graduate Preparation for Master in Fine Arts (71-79 credits)

Requirements are all the courses in the General Studio Art major plus another 32-40 credits of Studio Art courses both at CSE and other colleges and universities. This program must be approved by the Program Chairperson and your Studio Art mentor by the beginning of your first semester Junior Year.

Capstone Requirement

The Capstone Requirement for Art majors consists of preparing a portfolio of their best artwork and passing a three hour comprehensive exam on art terms and art history as determined by the professor each year. These requirements are part of the ART433 Senior Art Seminar. In addition, seniors hang 8-10 works as part of a Senior Art Exhibition, usually held during their last semester, which is also part of their Seminar grade.
