B.A. in Education
Students must double major in education and in another discipline per SEU policy.
- Early Childhood Education Concentration (P-3)
- Elementary Education Concentration (K-6)
- Elementary and Middle School Math OR Science Education Concentration (K-6 and 5-8 Math OR Science)
Minor in Secondary Education (The students major in an approved discipline which will lead to K-12 certification in that discipline. NJ DOE approved disciplines are Art, English, Mathematics, Biological Science, Chemistry, Social Studies)
Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification (This is not a stand alone program. The program is three additional special education courses which when added to one of the concentrations and/or minor allows the student to be eligible for the additional TOSD endorsement (Teacher of Students with Disabilities).
Requirements for Admission to the Major/Minor
- An overall GPA of 3.00 or above.
- Passing score on the appropriate Praxis Core Academic Skills for Education exam recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education (www.ets.org)

Capstone Requirement
Students fulfill the capstone requirement by successfully completing Clinical Practice I & Seminar, Clinical Practice II, and Clinical Practice II Seminar.
