In addition to comprehensive foundation courses, communication majors must complete an additional 12 credits of communication courses to complete the 44-credit degree. Students may choose courses from one of the specializations in the major: public relations and marketing or sports media and esports broadcasting. With the approval of the communication faculty, students may mix and match courses from the two specializations with other approved communication courses.
